Harold David Miner (born May 5 , 1971 in Inglewood, California ) is a former USC Trojan basketball player who played for the Miami Heat from 1993 till 1995 and Cleveland Cavaliers during the 1996 season. He also won the Slam Dunk Contest twice, in 1993 and 1995. When he began playing, people would be star-struck by his dunks, and during his college career it earned him the nickname "Baby Jordan" (because his dunking ability rivaled Michael Jordan 's). Because of this, the Heat would become one of the most watched teams for a while. He nearly revived the dying Heat's franchise but after the 1995 season, Miner was traded to Cleveland Cavaliers who waived him after 19 games played. |
